I chose United Hatzalah as the organization for my Bar Mitzvah project because I think the work they do is so important for all of Israel! UH trains people to become emergency medics, who then provide free life-saving emergency care to all people that live in Israel.  UH volunteers respond to all kinds of emergencies quickly and work across the country, even in hard to reach places. The volunteers are so dedicated and work so hard to help others- I think they are superheroes. I had the chance to visit the UH Headquarters in Jerusalem two and a half years ago and since then have been so inspired -- especially this last year.   If you don't already know about United Hatzalah, I hope you enjoy learning about this organization.
